Busy…

I have been so busy with so many different projects that I haven’t been taking the time to keep everyone updated. I’m doing some updates to my website, I have a new product to show you, prepping for my upcoming wedding for my sis-in-law, working on some new programs for clients, marketing, and being a mom/friend/daughter/wife all at the same time. So I’m sorry that I haven’t been updating my blog as often as I used to. I’m still here and doing good, just have a lot going on at the moment. Plus it’s summer and time seems to fly by faster and faster!

I’m so excited for Steph and Ralph’s wedding in 1.5 weeks. My daughter and I drove around the ceremony and reception site today to do a little location scouting and it gave me so many ideas. It’s going to be beautiful and I’m looking forward to being part of their day.

Stay tuned for more news!

I took this on a recent trip to Nebraska.

Good Laugh

You haven’t heard from me to much over the last few weeks because I’ve been preparing for my first wedding of the summer. Making sure that I have everything that I need and emotionally preparing myself. My sister in law is getting married and she’s the ‘baby’ in the family (besides my baby…ha!) so I think it’s going to be an emotional day. I’ve known her since she was in grade school, remember my husband and I have been together for 15 years, and now she’s all grown up. I also want to make sure I provide her with amazing images!!! So stress has been high lately and a good laugh this morning was just what I needed. I came across a great post on a blog that I discovered this morning. Matt Nicolosi out of Dallas is an awesome photographer with some beautiful images from a recent trip to Berlin that I love. Please check them out. But here is the post that made me laugh out loud….click the photo below to be redirected to his site for the story.

Inspired By {Laura Siebert – Entwinded}

This Photo Essay has some beautiful images. I love the different connections we make as humans and this series shows how beautiful those are. Here is a snipit from the exhibits website:

Entwined, a conceptual photo essay by St. Louis Photographer Laura Siebert, examines the seemingly innate desire to connect with others, as demonstrated by children. She invites you to bring the whole family to this exhibit. Her hope is that viewing the images will open a family dialogue about what makes us the same and how we can embrace this.

Inspired by {Randal Ford}

Randal Ford is a Texas based photographer that has taken on a personal project to create images inspired by Norman Rockwell. They are gorgeous images! I’ve been looking at them and am in awe of how surreal they look. Ford explains that the reason they look so surreal is because of the depth of field, everything is so sharp throughout the frame and most images are not created that way. The lighting is amazing and subjects very interesting. I found Ford in Digital Photo Pro magazine, you can read the article online * here *.

Please view his site, you will love looking at all the different images!

Here are a few images that I really liked!

I couldn’t resist this image of the Schlitz can. This instantly makes me think of my Grandfather.
