February is here and I have to be honest that it just doesn’t feel like it should be. January has been a complete blur with trying to get settled into our new home and getting our family back into our daily routine. The best thing about February is Valentine’s Day and when you ask my daughter the best part of Valentine’s Day she will tell you, ‘I like giving out cards!’. I love that she thinks of giving first instead of receiving. Will this last forever?

A Fun Weekend Ahead!

This weekend I get to play with this fun little toy!! I’m renting the Fuji X10 for 2 weeks and I have to say I’m impressed so far. I’ve only had it in my hands for a few short hours and I like what I see. It’s the coolest little camera I’ve used and I’m anxious to see what it produces once I start seriously shooting with it. We have 2 birthday parties this weekend so I will get to test it out with little kids running around with sugar highs. :)

Last weekend I had a bit chilly but wonderful session photographing the adorable daughter of the lovely owner of Luell. I knew that Mom was going to have some super cute accessories and props, we only wish the weather would of turned out the way the forecast said it was. Anyone else notice how terrible the weather forecasts have gotten? It’s never right! Anyway, even though little Kenley needed lots of breaks to warm up in the car she did wonderfully and I’m just dying over some of the images.

Isn’t she just adorable!!

I love this one! She picked up the suitcase and balloons and off she went.

This one is adorable! I don’t remember asking her to dance but it sure looks like she is!

Sometimes You Have to Make Faces! | Denver Children’s Photographer

This last weekend I drove down to Denver to photograph the Henkel Family and the kids were doing so great but needed to break out of the ‘sit and smile’ mold we were trying to keep them in. So the best thing to do was to have them make faces!! In my opinion this would be the photo I would want hanging in my house because every time I would walk by it would sure make me smile. Wouldn’t these faces make you smile?
