} What makes you different?

My goal for every client is for you to be relaxed and to enjoy yourself from start to finish.  I shoot all my sessions on location so that could be in your home or at a location that is special to YOU.  No sitting in a studio with lights flashing in your face and a photographer telling you to say cheese.  Now I do admit, sometimes to get kids attention the ‘say cheese’ can be effective but I strive to not do cheesy.  With kids I really let them take the lead in the session and do things at their pace, they don’t like to sit for the camera very long.  I know, I have a 4 year old!!!  I like to have activities for them to do while at the session.  Throw a football.  Play with their dolls.  Run in the leaves.  It’s more like play for them instead of work!

Weddings are a time for documenting, not staging a bunch of shots.  I love to watch how people react and interact during the wedding day and strive to capture those split second moments for you to treasure for a lifetime.  The only time I stage shots are during the family formals and to capture amazing images of the bride and groom together.  I love weddings and want to capture amazing images for YOU.  Period.

} Do you have a studio?

No, I do not have a studio.  I prefer to work on location with my clients which provides you with a more relaxed environment, be that in your home or your favorite park.  I have several locations that I love to photograph at so if you need some ideas, I’m full of them!

} Why Colorado AND Nebraska?

I love both!  I am a true Cornhusker at heart, grew up on a farm in Nebraska and lived there until I married my high school sweetheart at the young age of 20.  We then moved to Colorado to pursue our dreams!  Our families are mostly in Nebraska and any excuse to go back and relax on the farm is great to me.  Do not limit me to these states!!!  I would love to travel to new locations and document this moment in your life.  Just contact me and we will talk about travel fees.

} What does a typical portrait client invest?

My portrait clients typically invest between $400 – $800.  The Collections give you full control of what products you want included and at what discount you desire.  I do not like to force my clients into buying certain products so the control is in your hands!  You can buy through Collections or you can buy A la Carte as well to obtain the products that are just right for YOU.

} Can I buy the digital files, pretty please?

Sure!  All digital files are available to purchase and if included in a Collection (your choice) you get a great price!  Most clients however prefer to have me print their images since all images are retouched for products but files are not.  Let me take care of your prints for you, you won’t regret it!

} How long have you been doing this?

A very long time!  I became obsessed with photography at the age of 16 while attending a volleyball camp in Ogallala, Nebraska.  I shot my first senior portrait and wedding right out of high school at 18 and never turned back.  I was full force ahead (with odd jobs here and there) until 2003 when my husband and I decided to start a family.  After my daughter arrived a new vision of my photography started to bloom.  In 2007 I couldn’t stand it any longer and starting photographing again and here I am today!
