Laura over at Couture Colorado has a wonderful series of posts called BE MARRY and I just had to share this one with you.  This post by Kristen Simpson-Chandler MA, LPC really makes you think about some things to discuss before you tie the knot.  Even for some of us who have been married for a long time should maybe go over these things again, like who does what around the house.  Ya…I’d like more help in that department and I’m guessing there are a lot of you out there that feel the same.  Ha!  Anyway, some of the topics are about money, children, chores, & one you may not think to talk about and that is the in-laws.  How to split holiday’s and so on.  So head on over to Couture Colorado to read more!!

I just discovered these adorable personalized hangers from LilaFrances on Etsy!  Brides, the possibilities of these are endless and they are so affordable!  Most weddings that I photograph the one thing that isn’t thought about is a pretty hanger for the wedding dress.  It is such a minor detail but will end up in the photos that you will look at for years to come.  Can you imagine how amazing your wedding dress will look hanging on one of these??  Everyone will talk about it!!  Plus it is a great keepsake from your wedding day!

What about as a gift with each of your attendants name to use for their dresses?

Then I started thinking about other occasions that these would be fun for.  How about as a baby gift?  You must look at her tiny hangers for kids!

A week ago I had the opportunity to photograph the wedding of Mike and Anne-Marie in Breckenridge, Colorado.  I could barely control my excitement when they asked me almost a year ago to be their photographer and could not wait to see them in Breckenridge.

Mike and Anne-Marie were so calm and collected all day long which made it so easy to photograph them.  Their day flowed so beautifully and I feel honored to have been able to document everything that happened around me.  Their wedding and reception all took place at Ten Mile Station which sits on the mountain side and can only be reach by taking a ski lift up to it during the winter.  During the summer you take a very bumpy dirt road (if I wouldn’t of been nervous driving on there I would of taken a photo!) to get to the location.  It was well worth it because there were the most glorious views of the mountains!!

Thank you Mike and Anne-Marie for asking me to photograph your wedding day!  I wish the both of you all the best in the future and I hope your honeymoon in Riviera Maya was as wonderful as you hoped it would be.
