Last week I had the absolute pleasure to photograph Garret and Natalie’s newborn baby girl Isabella. I lover her name!! She was on to me and knew that something was different about that day but after a lot of perseverance we got the images we were working so hard for. She is such a sweet little bundle of joy and her parents are beside themselves with love. It is a honor (I know I say this all the time but I truly feel this way) to be able to photograph Natalie and Garret awaiting their first born and now to photograph their beautiful baby girl.

Isabella’s Grandma made this blanket for her.

Then she finally fell into a deep sleep so we could pose her and move her around. She’s SO sweet!

I adore this image. So precious and peaceful.

Oh ya…I love this one!

Photoshoot Today!!

It is very rare for me to do a session during the week and this week I have TWO so I’m pretty excited!! Today I get to see little Preston again for his ONE year shoot and I hope he is up for all of my ideas. I love to look back at our past sessions because I have been able to document his first year of life and that is when they change so drastically. He has always been a perfect little model for me and a joy to photograph. Here’s hoping I didn’t just jinx today!

A Wonderful Year!

2010 has been a wonderful year and I am so thankful for each and every one of my clients! No….you are each my friend. I could never express how honored I am to be able to document these moments in your lives. So without getting to sappy I put together a little slideshow of all of my wonderful friends! I hope to see most of you in 2011!!!

I also have an announcement to make. Starting tomorrow, Wednesday December 22, I am going to take a holiday vacation. Obviously it has been difficult for me to keep up with my blog lately with the holiday’s coming up and instead of worrying about what I’m not getting done (you have no idea how much it bother’s me!) I’m going to instead take a vacation and concentrate on my family and enjoy time with them until our routine starts again in January. I will however continue to post things here and there on my Twitter and Facebook page so if you do not follow me on either hop on over and check them out!

So I wish each of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!! I will be back in January!!

I had the absolute pleasure of photographing this beautiful family once again this week. Kreed arrived about a week earlier (almost 2 weeks now) and he is such a handsome little boy! He did not think that sleeping was what he should be doing so we had to wait a bit for him to be convinced to do so. Usually this happens with older babies that are more like 4 weeks. Once we finally got him to sleep Christin and I worked fast and Jeremy assisted while we were loosing light very very fast!! With the way the light was I think it gave the images a more moody feeling then what I normally do plus Jeremy and Christin have the most gorgeous home!! I want Christin and her mom to come over to my house and do a little styling someday!

There are so many things I could say about this image. Father & son. Love. Protecting hands. Peaceful.

I have been dreaming about creating this image for a long time. It had to be such a specific family with an older sibling and this was it.

I did just as I said yesterday, I fell over when this image came to be what I have envisioned for so long.

This image…..oh this image. I did everything I could to not cry while taking this because I know how much it means to Christin.

These are Kreed’s grandfather’s boxing gloves.
