I was really hoping that we would have a beautiful evening for their session but as always it seems like mother nature likes to throw a curve ball my way.  We even had a full on dirt storm about two hours prior which had me worried.  Although the wind was a bit of a pain the light was gorgeous and then we found this little covered outdoor area by the river and I was in heaven!

Steve and Katie, thank you from the bottom of my heart for asking me to not only photograph the two of you celebrating this exciting time in your lives but of a new family.  I hope you love these images as much as I do and I can not wait to see you guys again in October!!

Now back to Lauren and Jesse….WOW!  I loved the location Lauren wanted to go, the CSU Flower Garden and the Old Fort Collins High School because it offers so many great backdrops.  They both of course brought their A game and really knocked their images out of the park.  We had wonderful weather, even a bit hot for 9:30am, and there were hardly any people around.  I wish I was better at writing (maybe I should take lessons from Jasmine Star) to describe how much I love what I do and the clients that ask me to document their most memorable moments in their lives.

Lauren and Jesse, thank you!  Thank you for asking me to document so many of those moments!

A bit serious but very dramatic!

I met up with Amanda and Brad on Sunday, we had a little better weather but the wind was threatening our 3pm session.  So in my very professional way I sent Amanda a text at like 7:30am asking if they would meet me at 9am!  We agreed on 9:30am and I was very very happy later that day that we did because even by the end of our session the wind was picking up and it just got worse as the day went on.  I also came to find out that poor Brad works the night shift and just crawled into bed when Amanda let him know that I wanted to do it ealier.  For no sleep, Brad you did awesome!!!

There is a bit of history with Brad and I, his mom use to babysit my brother and I in the summer.  I remember Brad and my brother setting fires and getting into all sorts of trouble.  I haven’t seen him since then (I don’t think) and so it was funny to recognize him when they walked up.  He however didn’t realize who Brenda Landrum was until his mom let him know after they already booked me for their wedding.  It was fun to see him ‘all grown up’ and to catch up with him a bit!!!

Now Amanda let me know that she didn’t think she was very good in front of the camera but was very pleased with how easy I had made it for her.  My goal of course!  Well watch out because she ROCKED IT!  I think she found her va-va-voom because her images look amazing!  I hope you think differently now Amanda!!!

Thank you guys for meeting with me so much earlier and for trusting me with my ‘top secret location’!  You guys did an amazing job and I can’t wait for your wedding in June!

Two weeks earlier I had be scouting around for a location for their session and decided to check out Lake Minatare.  It was an awesome location!!!  With the Lighthouse, beach, trees, and texture everywhere it was a dream!  There is a lot of drama in these images, I think the dark moody clouds made me feel more dramatic!  Shelley and Trevor rocked out their session and trusted me with everything, thank you guys!  I can not wait until their wedding the end of July, it will be beautiful!  Only wish I could drag them back to the Lighthouse with their wedding attire, that would be awesome!  Something to think about…hint hint!  ;)

Well I can’t wait any longer so enough of my blabbing and on with the show!
