]]> http://www.brendalandrum.net/blog/2011/06/scottsbluff-national-momument-fine-art-photography/feed/ 0 Tree in Bloom | Fine Art Photography http://www.brendalandrum.net/blog/2011/05/tree-in-bloom-fine-art-photography/ http://www.brendalandrum.net/blog/2011/05/tree-in-bloom-fine-art-photography/#comments Thu, 19 May 2011 20:00:26 +0000 Brenda http://www.brendalandrum.net/blog/?p=5798 A few weeks ago I posted THIS tweet in twitter.  I was a tad embarrassed to have been standing in a businesses parking lot taking photos of a tree.  I’m sure every person that drove by was wondering what the heck I was doing.  Well sometimes we have to do what we have to do to capture something we see.  Right?!  I have been working on this image quite a bit trying to refine it.  I had a very specific idea of what I wanted but the surroundings were not ideal.  With cars and buildings everywhere I couldn’t avoid it all.  So I shot at the most shallow depth of field I could to blur out the background and also decided to crop this image heavily to not only take out the parking lot but also emphasize the composition I was going for with the long drooping branch.  I’m not crazy about the cars reflecting in the background but I like where it is going so far.  Would love some feedback!
