This weekend we have had almost non stop rain and add that on top of the snow pack in the mountains melting to quickly and you get a very very full Poudre River!! Yesterday and today we just had to take a little drive around to see just how high the river is and although yesterday we were impressed with what we saw, today we were surprised!! I have lived here for 12 years and have never seen the Poudre this high. Luckily so far it isn’t causing too much damage as far as I know. Here are a couple pics that I took.
I took this image yesterday in Windsor, CO. So full!!

This morning I drove through the Poudre River flooding over the road near Timnath, CO.

We use to go along the bike trail along the river……

….. well now the bike trail is no longer!! See the path through the trees? The river use to be much further away from the bike trail!! This surprised us!!

This is the bike trail going under Prospect, it’s just about to the top of the fence!!

I wonder how long it will take the river to recede to normal conditions???
