I Wanted My Happy Girl Back | Life

First I have to thank all the clients who were contacting me last week in being so understanding why I just could not reply to emails the way I wanted.  This is why the blog has been very very quiet.

Last week started off good until we went to the doctor for my girls 5 year appointment on Tuesday.  She had to get two shots and all was good until that evening when she went downhill fast.  After her bath she was really hot and not acting herself at all.  After some time of not cooling down I took her temp and it was 104!!  No good!!  That evening was rough with fighting high temps and trying to make her more comfortable.  Her tummy hurt really bad and was almost inconsolable at times.  We all slept (very little) in the living room and just had a night filled with worry.  Not only that we were in a blizzard that first night and if we would of had to take her to the ER it would of been very difficult.

This went on for 3 days!!  Each day showing either slight improvement or different symptoms.  Talked to the doctors on the phone several times and took her in once and nobody knew what was going on, just that she was fighting something.  Not very comforting for a mom who is worried sick about her girl.  I slept at the foot of her bed one night I was so worried about keeping her temp down and getting Tylenol in her with no delay because when I would let it wear off her temp would spike.  Finally on Saturday the temp broke and she was eating so much better.  Poor thing lost 2 lbs between her first appointment on Tuesday and the next appointment on Thursday.  This last weekend we did pretty much nothing and just rested and gave her whatever food she wanted.

I am thankful to report that today she went back to preschool and I have my happy girl back!
