I have a love/hate relationship with December. I love this time of year and Christmas is my favorite holiday but I hate the rushing and stressing that goes on. Seems like Thanksgiving is over and something changes around us. People get rude (more then usual) and you can not do anything fast enough. Does anyone else feel like this? Then throw in a nasty cold that is making it’s way through my entire household and things just get crazy! I haven’t left this house since Monday morning!!! Ok, I did run into Target Thursday but I was in and out of there and it wasn’t any fun. Yesterday I just couldn’t stand it so I bundled up my little one, she has a cold, and we took an hour long drive. Never got out of the car. We went to the Starbuck’s drive through and got both of us nice hot drinks, the best part of the day!
During this week I was able to get my Christmas decorating done! I love getting out all of our decorations because so many of them have much more meaning then just to sit out and look pretty. I have many items that were gifts as a child, passed on to me from my Grandmother, and items that make me remember moments in my life. We will not have family at our house this year so nobody will get to see my decorating so I really wanted to share.
The Tree! I wanted to do something more crazy (sticks in my tree) but that didn’t happen.

We are going to put our daughter’s Christmas Letter in here, she’s still working on it.

In 2006 we lost many loved one’s in our family and this ornament really spoke to me and made me feel better.

My First Ornament

Mickey has to be part of our tree!

These trees have all of our personalized ornaments on them. So fun to remember.

I like to hang stockings around the house.

I adore this nativity set. I painted these as a kid in Vacation Bible School at our church during the summer.
We did a set of 3 figures each year and I think I am among the very few that was able to get the complete set. A few pieces are not out this year.

This Santa I gave to my Grandmother.

My Grandmother gave me this Snowman. I miss her the most this time of year, it was her favorite holiday.
