A little over a week ago my family decided that we needed to get away and so we did. In May we ventured down to Colorado Springs and we loved it there. So many different things to do and the scenery is fantastic. So we decided that we were going to go back. The drive is not long at all for us but we have to drive all the way through Denver…yuck! A car accident happened right behind us, thank goodness we didn’t get involved. We met several other cars pulled over or stopped along the way. I was so thankful when we finally got out of there! We pretty much let the little one decide what we were going to do that Saturday morning and the first thing she wanted to do was go to the Zoo. Cheyenne Mountain Zoo is a lot of fun but be prepared to do a lot of climbing for you are on a mountain side. Great exercise! We thought we had seen most of what they offer there the last time but we did not see the bird feeding house. My first instincts were to not look up and keep my mouth closed!!! We had a great time and it was relaxing for everyone and that was all that mattered!
The first thing you get to do is feed the giraffe’s!

I don’t think I would of been that brave with that tongue coming at me!

We definitely had wet wipes after she was done.

Here she is feeding the birds. They had popsicle sticks that you held and the birds would fly right on down. Bonus…we did not get pooped on!!!

I love going to the zoo in the fall.
